1. Clear the clutter.
2. Remove personal items.
3. Create a flow from room to room.
4. Tackle home improvements.
5. Create curb appeal.

Mounds of mail and books piled high on tables distract from a rooms positive features. If you have the time throw junk mail away. Then organize the remaining documents, bills, etc. in a file cabinet or drawer that is out of sight of potential buyers.
